Since 2015, we have provided a content management service, public relations and the social engagement strategy and solution for bray.ie. The annual campaigns focuses on driving a positive upbeat message about the County Wicklow town, its tourism products, offers and experiences. In 2017, we helped the bray.ie website win the ‘Best Connected Community’ at the Community & Council Awards.
Due to COVID-19 bray.ie’s objective quickly moved from promoting the town as a tourism destination to encouraging our community to support local businesses to ensure that the main street survives. We built on the spirit of togetherness, which has seen the council, the local community and the business sector support each other throughout the crisis under the ‘Unity in our community’, ‘Bray bouncing back’, ‘Shop Local First’, ‘Summer in Bray’ and ‘Christmas in Bray’ initiatives.
We also introduced dedicated COVID-19 information hubs to help connect local businesses with customers, share some practical hints, tips, supports and links to help the town and community bounce back.
Since the bray.ie website launched back in 2011 there have been +1.37m visits with 3.73m page views. Social media engagement for 2020 was 3.4m. Our Covid-19 information hubs so far has had +63k pageviews.
